Visualizing dynamic biological indicators. Certain species (Walleye, Lake Sturgeon) are known to congregate around unmapped structural anomalies like shipwrecks.
1. TrackdAT & ScienceBase Native Scraping: Our Rust backend (cesarops-telemetry-scan) runs a daily background daemon to scrape researcher publications from TrackdAT.org and pull public telemetry drops from USGS ScienceBase.
2. Unified Wrecks Database: The raw acoustic pings are ingested into our wrecks.db SQLite database under the telemetry_pings table.
3. Cross-Sensor Clustering: The daemon buckets the telemetry pings into grid cells. If a hotspot is detected (e.g., high concentration or a "gap anomaly" where a fish disappears), it queries the detection_hits table to see if our satellites (ICESat-2, Sentinel SAR, Landsat) also detected a structural/bathymetric anomaly in the exact same location.
Result: Cross-sensor targets are highlighted below in RED (high priority), while standard telemetry anomalies are YELLOW.
